Education: Kim obtained her Bachelors of Science degree in Human Development & IntraPersonal Communications from Kansas State University, her Master’s degree in Marriage & Family Therapy from Friends University and her Play Therapy Certification from KC Play Therapy Institute. Kim has also studied or trained with Dan Hughes, Bruce Perry, Theraplay & Filial Play Therapy.

Experience: Kim has experience working in the Early Head Start pro-grams, in home family therapy and in home play therapy, as well as being a therapist in a private practice. A large work experience and focus of training has been in trauma work. Kim has worked and trained with domestic violence, family abuse and animal abuse.

Kim has been a play therapist supervisor for almost ten years, working with KC Play. She has also been supervising MFT’s for over 8 years, both during graduate programs and post graduate for licensure.
