Bridget Dixon, LSCSW, RPT-S

Bridget is a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker, Registered Play Therapist Supervisor and founder of Monarch Play Therapy.  She is a graduate of The University of Kansas and is currently an adjunct instructor for The School of Social Welfare at KU. Over the past 15 years, Bridget has worked in various public service contexts, including child welfare, community mental health, substance abuse, behavior consultation and early childhood mental health. She currently serves as the Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant at Head Start of Lawrence, providing professional development and mental health consultation services on site.

Bridget has been trained in various therapy modalities including EMDR, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Theraplay®, Sand Tray Therapy and Non-Directive Play Therapy.  She is passionate about LGBT issues, attachment and recovering from trauma.
