Education: Bridget earned her BSW from the University of Kansas in 2000 and earned her MSW from the University of Kansas in 2003. She earned her certificate of play therapy from KC Play Therapy in 2011.
Experience: Over the past 17 years, Bridget has worked in various public service contexts, including child welfare, community mental heath, substance abuse, behavior consultant and early childhood mental health. She currently servers as the Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation at Head Start of Lawrence, providing professional development and mental health consultation services on site. Passionate about play therapy and teaching, Bridget also is an instructor for The University of Kansas School of Social Welfare and Heartland Play Therapy Institute. Bridget has been trained in various therapy modalities including EMDR, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Theraplay®, Sand Tray Therapy and Non-Directive Play Therapy. She is passionate about LGBTQIA issues, attachment and recovering from trauma.
