Liz is currently a licensed clinical social worker based out of Wichita, Ks. She received her Master’s in Social Work from Wichita State University. She is currently a supervisor at her county’s community mental health center and supervises case managers as well as providing clinical and practicum supervision. On top of this, Liz also provides therapy to a small caseload on the side. Previously, she worked for a number of years at a non-profit mental health agency and was based inside an elementary school. Liz has taught two summers of a brief course on International Social Work at Wichita State University and has previously written preschool curriculum for churches.
Liz utilizes play therapy, sand tray, Theraplay, bibliotherapy, and is always looking for new ideas to incorporate into her work with children and families. Currently, all of her toys and books do not fit into her office, so she has toys and books aplenty at her home for her friend’s children to play with. She doesn’t want those toys to be ignored!
Outside of work, Liz enjoys tap dance, horseback riding, reading, writing and playing with her niece.
