Dr. Matthew Luckenbach, LPC DCoun, RPT-S, NCC, CCMHC
Education: Matthew has two Bachelor’s degrees in psychology and public communication. He has a Master’s and Doctorate degree in counseling from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (MBTS). In addition to his Play Therapy credential, Matthew is also trained in EMDR, CBT and TF-CBT.
Experience: Matthew has experience working in homes, outpatient and residential settings providing community mental health for vulnerable populations. He is currently working at Diakonos Counseling in Liberty, Missouri; one of the largest faith-based counseling practices in the Kansas City region. Matthew has a particular interest in treating clients of all ages with ASD, ODD and anxiety disorders, as well as trauma, depression, anger and behavioral concerns. He loves to find creative ways to help clients and their parents achieve healing which stimulate his interest in teaching. Matthew has been an adjunct professor at MBTS for 4 years, teaching a variety of counseling courses including Diagnosis and Treatment of Childhood and Adolescent Disorders. He also mentors students and has even been on dissertation committees for doctoral students. Matthew’s approach to supervision includes hands on learning and applying specific interventions and theory within the counseling setting.

Play Therapy Supervision Fees:
$50/hour for individual supervision
$30/hour per student for group supervision
Clinical Supervision:
Matthew offers concurrent clinical supervision for individuals seeking play therapy supervision and clinical licensure in professional counseling in the state of Missouri.
Fees: $50/hour for individual.
